Hello! I’m Michele Chung, and thank you for visiting the Sabbath Cafe Blog.  Sabbath is a time for restoration and renewal. I hope this blog will be a place where all who stop by will feel refreshed and renewed.

I became a Christian when I was in junior high.  Unlike most of my friends, I am the first Christian in my immigrant family.  I’m very grateful for the diverse spiritual backgrounds that I grew up in.  I can see how similar people are regardless of our cultures and beliefs, and I’ve also experienced first hand the healing and hope that came from my journey with God.

I started this blog a few years ago as a way to process through my own journey. I love asking questions, and I’ve found that God loves it when I do. My curiosity have led me to read widely.  However, these paths eventually led to one of these areas: spirituality/theology, philosophy/psychology, and art/creativity. At the heart of it, I am simply fascinated about God, people, and beauty.

Most of the posts here will be my reflections related to these topics.  I’d like to also share books and helpful resources. If you have any questions or ideas for me, please feel free to leave a comment on the blog. I’d love to hear from you. Thank you for visiting!
